SRINAGAR, Apr 18: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president and former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti along with senior PDP leader and former Minister Asiya Naqash today visited the fire victims of Hazratbal locality.
They were also accompanied by former vice president district Srinagar Mir Mohammad Sideeq, Zonal president Hazratbal Abdul Hameed, senior vice president Yousuf Abdullah and other senior party workers.
The devastating fire incident took place in the area wherein dozens of shops in three multi- storied shopping complexes and more than a half dozen residential houses gutted in short span of time.
Mehbooba Mufti asked administration for probe into the incident which happened during day time and immediate steps for rehabilitation of victims. She also appealed for community based help for rehabilitation of the fire victims.
