SRINAGAR, Sept 28: Former Chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti today stressed for the greater and active participation of youth in politics to get the State out of the squalid conditions and make it scan new horizons with eager hope.
She was speaking on the occasion of joining PDP by social activist and Srinagar based businessman Ajaz Qureshi, here today.
Mehbooba hoped that Qureshi would work with earnest efforts and his services will benefit the perturbed people of the State at large.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included senior PDP leader and MLA Amira Kadal Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, party general secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura and MLC Mohammad Khurshid Alam.
Qureshi, on the occasion, stated that the basic reason for him to join the PDP was that the party had been playing a crucial role to change the political paradigm in Jammu and Kashmir for resolution of issues, sustainable peace and progress.
