JAMMU, May 28: The Union Territory Government today formally issued the order for appointment of Arun Kumar Mehta as new Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir in place of BVR Subrahmanyam.
Mehta will take over as the Chief Secretary from the date Subrahmanyam relinquishes the charge.
Formal order for appointment of Mehta as the Chief Secretary was issued today by the General Administration Department.
Subrahmanyam has already been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Department of Commerce, Government of India and will take over as the Commerce Secretary on June 30 on the retirement of present incumbent.
