JAMMU, Jan 10: Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet has approved appointment of J&K Cadre IAS officer of 1988 batch, Arun Kumar Mehta to the post of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change.
Mr Mehta is presently Principal Secretary, Power Development Department Jammu and Kashmir. His appointment in the Ministry of Environment has been approved for a period of five years from the date of taking over the charge of the post or until further orders.
He has been posted in place of Maninder Singh, who has already been shifted to Department of Health Research.
