JAMMU, Mar 13: Hundreds of employees of Migrant Educational Institutions (MEIs) have not been paid salary for the month of February.
A deputation of MEIs employees today visited Excelsior office and claimed that the higher authorities of Migrant Education Institutions are not releasing their salary for the month of February despite the fact that the Finance Department has already released the budget of five months up to March 31.
The employees alleged that the delay on the part of the authorities in releasing their salary may result in surrender of budget as the last date of presenting bills in treasuries is 26/03/2020.
They appealed the higher authorities to intervene into the matter and release their salary for the month of February.
