JAMMU, Dec 23: Hiranmay J Pandya, Employees’ Representative and a member of Central Board of Trustee (CBT), Employees Provident Fund (EPF) visited Regional Provident Fund Office Jammu today.
Pawan, Pranteeya Adhyaksh, BMS and Ashok Chaudhary, Sangathan Mantri, BMS were also present on the occasion.
Pandya was welcomed by Regional Provident Fund Commissioner I, Rizwan Uddin, Regional PF Commissioner II, Ajit Mishra and Harinder Singh and other staff of EPFO Regional Office, Jammu.
During the visit, the Board member was apprised about various PF related matter such as functioning of the Jammu Regional Office after implementation of the Act, services being provided to members such as online receipt and settlement of claims, redressal of grievances received through online and offline mode, facilitation and handholding support being provided to the establishments and their representatives.
The first Pension Payment Order (PPO) number JKJMU00000001 was issued for entire region of J&K and Ladakh in the name of Vijay Lakshmi (Rs 2,471), wife of late Narinder Kumar Sharma along with two children namely Suraj Sharma and Harsh Sharma (Rs 618 each) during the felicitation programme.
Series of communications were made with the employer of Kashmir Valley to remit outstanding provident fund as a result of which an amount of Rs 32 lakhs has already been received in A/c No II which is higher by Rs 5 lakhs than the previous month. Meetings were also held with principal employers viz M/s IRCON and Konkan Railways on December 18, 2021 at Banihal and Sangaldhan respectively and contractors were advised to remit outstanding dues within 7 days.
Later, in the evening second Pension Payment Order Number JKJMU00000002 pertaining to Jyoti Devi (Rs 2,406), wife of Janak Raj along his daughter Pallavi Bhagat (Rs 602) and son Sushant Bhagat (Rs 602) was also issued. An arrear amount of Rs 14,917 to Jyoti and Rs 3,732 each to two children was issued.
The member expressed his satisfaction towards the functioning of the Regional Office.
The EPFO employees who have volunteered to attend office in early hours and have been settling members’ claims in time bound manner were felicitated. The officials, who were felicitated, were Sanjeev Kumar EO/AO, Amit Jakhmola, EO/AO, S Mini DPA, T Rajan, DPA, Chiranji Lal Sharma SSSA, Sanjeev Kumar SSSA, Kanchan, Archana, Bhanupriya and Shakti.
