POONCH, Mar 9: A forward village in Mendhar sub division is without power supply for the last about two months.
Villagers of Lower Bhatidhar alleged that the electric transformer installed by the Power Development Department (PDD), went out of order about two months ago. They informed the concerned Lineman and even the Junior Engineer and recently the AEE, Mendhar as well. But despite repeated requests the transformers has not been replaced or repaired.
The villagers warned to lock the PDD office Mendhar if the power supply is not restored within three days. They sought the intervention of Chief Engineer, PDD (M&RE) Jammu into the matter.
