NEW DELHI, Aug 13: Mentha oil futures drifted by 0.39% to Rs 714.10 per kg today as speculators locked-in gains at prevailing levels amid slackened spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September declined by Rs 2.80, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 714.10 per kg in a business turnover of 169 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in August traded lower by Rs 2.80, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 703 per kg in 373 lots.
The fall in mentha futures was mostly due to profit- booking by speculators after recent gains and sluggish demand in spot markets from pharmaceutical units, analysts said. (PTI)
