NEW DELHI, Jan 20: Mentha oil prices gained 0.29 per cent to Rs 831.50 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions, driven by strong demand from consuming industries in the spot markets against less arrivals from producing regions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January rose by Rs 2.40, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 831.50 per kg in business turnover of 43 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in February traded higher by Rs 1.40, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 842.50 per kg in 3 lots.
