NEW DELHI, Apr 29: Mentha oil futures prices rose by 0.54 per cent to Rs 979.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions, tracking a firming trend at spot market on strong export demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in May gained Rs 5.30, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 979.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 760 lots.
The prices for delivery in April edged up by Rs 3.90, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 971 per kg, with a business turnover of 113 lots.
Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot markets amid restricted supplies from producing regions, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
