‘Meri Chountra Wali Mata’ video CD released

JAMMU, Oct 25: Chountra Mata Dhar Lok Kalian Sansthan released the first video CD “Meri Chountra Wali Mata” by renowned singer Komal Sharma at KL Saigal Hall, here today.
On the occasion, Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramnagar and Chairman, Chountra Mata Prabandhak Committee was the chief guest, who unveiled the CD in presence of Director Tourism Sojanya Sharma, Rakesh Jamwal, Chief Planning Officer Udhampur, Dr TB Chakoo, Director Sheep Husbandry, Prof Vishav Murti Shastri, scholarship and prominent citizens.
The CD comprises of 8 bhajans on Chountra Mata including Aarti, which highlights the origin of Mata Chountra, routes leading towards holy shrine. The music has been given by singer Surinder Manhas.
While speaking, Harshdev Singh said that in the coming Assembly session, he will move a bill for construction of board for development of Chountra Mata and Pingla Mata shrines.
Earlier, Makhan Sharma, presented the welcome address, whereas in the end, Anil Sharma proposed vote of thanks.
The proceedings of the function were conducted by Sagar Verma.
Among others present were Dr Chander, Dr JP Sharma, Brij Ballab, Gopal Singh, Faqir Chand, Shanker Singh, etc.
