JAMMU, Sept 16: Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Jammu Poonch constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma along with Senior leaders of BJP, Arvind Gupta, Dev Raj Sharma, district president, Rohit Dubey visited village Chassana, Arnas, Reasi of district Reasi and led Amrit Kalash Yatra to various places under Meri Maati Mera Desh programme in district Reasi.
Member of Parliament, while addressing the gathering said that Meri Maati Mera Desh programme is a nationwide programme led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the stewardship of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He said that soil collected in the pot from every household is taken up to the block level and then up to national level for formation of Amrit Van in order to pay tribute to those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
He said that on eve of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, “Meri Maati Mera Desh” initiative led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi induces strength of Oneness. He, while appraising the achievements of Central Government among the masses said that Prime Minister has launched various schemes for the betterment of the nation and taken many bold steps which take our nation to the great heights. He said that successful conduct of G20 in Bharat has marked our nation to the top places. He, while speaking on Meri Maati Mera Desh said that it is our duty to tell our generation about the sacrifice of saga of heroes who fought for the freedom and martyrs who sacrificed for the nation. He said that decision for making “Amrit Van” by Prime Minister would always represent as the token of remembrance and tribute to the true heroes and freedom fighters.
