JAMMU, Mar 5: The MES Builders Association of India, Jammu unit has urged upon the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Govt of India, to release funds for the ongoing works.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Som Nath Khajuria, the members V M Goyal and others said that builder of Military Engineering Services (MES) are suffering due to non-availability of funds with the department. The ongoing works are likely to be suspended if the funds were not provided shortly. They said the builders are facing hardships in buying material and also to pay the wages of the workers.
It was unanimously resolved in the meeting to urge upon the Ministry of Defence to redress the grim scenario by March 20, 2017 or else face the wrath of the builders as they may be forced to suspend all the works of the Defence forces and shall not even participate in the tender process as well.
