Met office warns heavy rain in J&K during next 48 hours

SRINAGAR:
The Meteorological department here has warned heavy rain or thundershowers in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 48 hours.
A Met department spokesman said here this evening that there could be moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers during the next 24 hours at most places over Jammu and Kashmir.
He said there would be no large change in the weather during the subsequent four days.
However, the spokesman warned of heavy rain or thundershowers at some places during the next 48 hours over the State.
He said in the summer capital, Srinagar, there could be rain or thundershowers and the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 9 degree and six degree tomorrow respectively. Rain or thundershowers could occur at Jammu, where the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 23 degree and 14 degree respectively.
The Spokesman also said light rain or snow is expected at Leh tomorrow, where the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 9 degree and 2 degree respectively. (AGENCIES)
