JAMMU, Aug 14: Municipal Employees and Workers Union (MEWU) under the leadership of Dev Anand Gill met Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand here in the office of JMC and discussed various issues regarding employees particularly the implementation of SRO-43.
The Deputy Chief Minister was on the visit of JMC to attend the inauguration ceremony of E-Governance.
After hearing the employees, the Deputy CM ordered the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation to take the decision regarding SRO-43 on their own like Srinagar Municipal Corporation was doing. He also gave him the powers of Mayor.
Those present in the meeting included Vijay Pal, Shanker Kumar, Vivek Sood, Rajkumar, Tarsem Hans, Sameer Bali, Bansi Lal, Lucky and many others.
