MENDHAR, May 2: The MGNREGA workers who remained unpaid for the last three years by the Rural Development Department (RDD) Mendhar held protest demonstration here today.
A large number of workers under the banner of Labour Union led by Abdul Majid assembled at Shahidi Yadgar Mendhar and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against RDD authorities and demanding payment of then pending wages.
Later, in the form of protest rally, they moved to the office of SDM Mendhar Rahul Yadav and submitted a memorandum to him. Yadav assured them to take up their issue with the concerned authorities.
