MHA to provide land for 3 KVs in J&K, Maharashtra, Bengal

 

NEW DELHI, Oct 8:

The Government will provide land for three Kendriya Vidyalayas(KVs) for BSF in Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and West Bengal.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has approved a proposal from the BSF for providing three acres of land, on lease, for each of three Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sunderbani(J&K), Chakur(Maharashtra) and Aradhpur(West Bengal), a Home Ministry spokesman said.   Presently, Kendriya Vidyalaya at station headquarters, BSF Sunderbani (J&K) has started functioning from October 16, 2010 upto XIth standard.

BSF, Chakur (Maharashtra) school started on September 1, 2010 upto VIIIth standard whereas the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Aradhpur (West Bengal) started on April 26, 2011 up to VIIIth standard, he said.

BSF had proposed for providing land from the Ministry so that the Kendriya Vidyalayas running at the above three BSF locations can have their own campuses.
