JAMMU, Aug 17: In response to the recent rape and murder incident in Kolkata, the Home Ministry has mandated all States and Union Territories to send law and order updates to the Centre every two hours.

As per an order, these reports are to be communicated through email, fax, or WhatsApp.
The move is aimed at closely monitoring the security situation across the country and preventing any further escalation.
