UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: A middle aged man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in village Ladha in tehsil Chenani.
As per police sources, 35-year-old Pritam Chand, son of Shanker Dass of village Ladha, tehsil Chenani consumed some poisonous substance at his residence today morning.
After finding him unconscious, family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur, where he failed to respond to the treatment and died.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
