Middle aged man murdered

JAMMU, Apr 11: A middle aged man was found murdered in RS Pura area, whileas Arnia police arrested the accused within 10 hours.
As per police sources, today at 7 am Ashok Kumar, son of Rattan Lal of Sai Kalan lodged a written report with Police Station Arnia that injury marks ridden dead body of his elder brother namely Sham Lal (50), son of Menga Ram of Sai Kalan, tehsil RS Pura was found lying in ward number 4, Sai Kalan Maula Camp, Tehsil RS Pura.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR number 23/15 under Section 302 RPC was registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation started.
The investigation officer along with police party under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Devinder Singh swung into action visited the site, utilized the services of FSL experts/photographers of Crime Branch Jammu, seized dead body of deceased and other evidence from the site of occurrence in presence of witnesses and FSL experts.
The dead body was shifted to CHC RS Pura and after autopsy and conducting other legal formalities the dead body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Acting upon a lead, police arrested the accused who has been identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Rattan Lal of Sai Kalan Maula Camp, tehsil RS Pura from Akhnoor area.
Further investigation of the case is in progress.
Police team headed by SDPO RS Pura Devinder Singh and SHO Arnia police station Jatinder Singh Samyal made the arrest under the supervision of SP Headquarters Randheer Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
