JAMMU, Oct 10: Model Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) in collaboration with Blood Bank SMGS Hospital, Red Cross and Thalassemia Society today organized a Blood Donation Camp.
Faculty members of MIET were among the first to donate blood and after this students from all the departments and semesters also donated their blood.
Blood donors thanked Red Cross Society and SMGS Hospital team led by Dr. Sanjeev Digra for giving them opportunity to donate blood.
Sudhir Sethi, Rajinder Pathak and Puneet Gandotra from Thalassemia society were also present on the occasion.
Over 80 students donated blood wherein Ateed, a student of 5th Semester of EE Department has already donated blood for 13 times earlier.
NSS Unit of MIET headed by Sahib Singh, Mohan Singh and Aashiq Lone made all the necessary arrangements for the camp.
Director Academics, MIET Prof. S.K Sharma motivated the students and hailed their selfless service while the Red Cross delegation and Thalassemia Society also lauded the enthusiasm of all those donating blood for the greater cause.
