JAMMU, Apr 15: Over 119 Migrant Anganwadi workers are running from pillar to post for last five years as the Department of ICDS has failed to release their emoluments till date.
The aggrieved migrant Anganwadi workers said that despite approaching the concerned authorities umpteen times no steps were taken by the Government to solve their issue. They said that as per the Government directives all the migrant Anganwadi workers have been deployed in Jammu centers and they have been discharging their duties properly but no steps are being taken at the administrative level to release their emoluments.
They said while the Government released the emoluments of other Anganwadi workers in UT but ignored the migrant workers among whom majority are facing financial hardships.
The aggrieved workers while highlighting their plight appealed the Government to settle their issue. They also demanded in case the Government does not need their services it should settle their issue by paying the pending honorarium of last over four years and take a decision about their retirement from the services by paying their dues.
