Migrant industrial unit holders’ delegation calls on Revenue Minister

JAMMU, Apr 20: A delegation of migrant industrialists unit holders of Kashmir led by Karan Choudhary called on Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation (independent charge ), Aijaz Khan and discussed the ways and means for rehabilitation of the displaced industrialists who have left behind their units and in most of cases whose units have been totally destroyed and damaged and had to be started a fresh all over again.
The delegation informed the Minister that none of these unit holders have been provided any compensation nor any package has been devised for them by the State Government for their rehabilitation despite the fact that the issue was brought in the notice of the Government many times.
The Minister assured them that soon a meeting will be convened with the Director Industries and all the authorities of the industrial promotional agencies along with the representatives of the migrant entrepreneurs in which the issues regarding the rehabilitation of displaced industrialists will be discussed and a workable package of incentives will be formulated regarding their rehabilitation.
Raj Nath Fotedar Bittoo Ji and others demanded allotment of quarters to these hapless non camp migrants putting up in the rented accommodations and dependent on cash relief only.
Prof ON Koul, Sanjay Pandit, Sham Lal Azad, Kanya Lal, Omkar Nath Raina , Shadi Lal , Virender Kumar and others were the part of delegation.
