SAMBA, July 16: A migrant labour was found hanging in a rented room under suspicious circumstances in the Jatwal area of the district late last night.
After receiving the information, the police brought the dead body to the District Hospital Samba for post mortem. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Suraj Kumar, son of Tulsi Ram of Rampur, Faridabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Police said, Suraj lived alone in a rented room in Jatwal. When he was not seen outside on Saturday night, other workers living in the neighbourhood searched him and found him hanging in the room. After the post-mortem of the dead body at the District Hospital, Samba, it was handed over to the relatives for the last rites. In this context, the police have registered a case and started further investigation.
