JAMMU, Aug 28: A team of Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha , Kashmiri Khatri Yuva Sabha and Displaced Kashmiri Unemployed Youth Union under the chairmanship of Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan visited migrant transit camps in Kashmir Valley and interacted with migrant employees and discussed various issues with them.
The team said though Government has established migrant accommodations for the PM package employees at various places but they lack basic facilities like drinking water and electricity. Besides, there are inadequate quarters and the employees are provided quarters on shared basis.
These organizations also demanded that the terms and conditions thrust on the migrant youth while seeking employment under PM package who were required to sign bond papers be done away with at the earliest and other hurdles in PM package appointments be also removed immediately.
They also demanded that the accommodation facilities with security and all basic amenities of life be provided to package employees in general and women employees in particular.
