Migrant relief holders highlight problems

JAMMU, Dec 9: All Kashmiri migrant relief holders in a meeting at Jagti today highlighted their various problems.
The meeting was presided over by Ajay Bhat. It alleged that Jagti township sans basic facilities as the construction of hospital has not been completed till date. Moreover, there is dearth of doctors and other staff in the dispensary as one doctor has been posted to serve 10,000 people of the township.
The meeting expressed grave concern over 12 hour power cut and demanded that there should be no power cut from 8pm to 10 pm. It further demanded renovation of road from Jagti township to Kandoli Mata temple Nagrota, transport facility during evening hours, street lights, maintenance of parks, deployment of police at entry and exit points for proper security in the township, posting of Hindi teacher in Middle School Jagti and supply of ration before 20th of every month in the camp.
Expressing surprise over Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s statement for criticizing Narendra Modi not making any mention about KPs while addressing a rally at Jammu on December 1, the meeting asked him that how many times in last five years as CM , Mr Abdullah visited Jagti to look into the problems of people there.
