Migrants at Jagti township demand supply of ration

JAMMU, Sept 20: Migrants putting up at Jagti township today expressed grave concern over non availability of ration at ration ghats in the township which has led to the problems of the people living there.
In their separate statements the relief holders of Jagti and Displaced United Council Jagti has demanded immediate supply of ration for the month of September at the ration ghats in Jagti township.
The relief holders representative Ajay Bhat said that despite bringing the issue in the notice of concerned Minister, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner and CAPD Director the ration supply was not dispatched to the camp till date.
He said the CAPD officers were saying that the department has not till date received the supply of migrant ration which is a cause of concern.
He said the Centre had stopped levy on sugar but the State Government has stopped the supply of sugar also.
Vinod Tickoo of Displaced Council warned that in case the supply was further delayed the camp inmates will come to streets.
