Migrants demand release of ration, relief

JAMMU, Aug 14: The Kashmiri migrant relief holders of Jagti township in a meeting today held under the chairmanship of Ajay Bhat has expressed grave concern over the failure of Government in solving the problems of migrants from Valley.
The meeting said that till date the ration of August 2013 has not been supplied to Jagti depot. The meeting also expressed concern over removal of subsidy by GoI on Sugar. It said that relief has also not been paid for the month to the displaced people and the issue was taken with both Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner and Secretary Revenue by the representatives of the camp. The Revenue Secretary assured that soon after the opening of the banks the relief will be released in favour of displaced people and also orders will be issued for supply of ration.
The meeting among others was attended by Sunil Pandita, Ajay Dhar, Rajesh Raina,  M L Ganjoo, Omkar Nath, Pran Ji Koul, Ashwani, Rajinder Pandita and others.
