JAMMU, Aug 25: A demonstration was organized by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front at Jagti Camp today in protest against the failure of the Government to settle the long pending demands of the camp inmates.
The demonstration was led by JTC chief Shadi Lal Pandita who criticized the Government for being a silent spectator and not settling the genuine problems of the camp inmates.
The protestors warned to intensify the agitation in case the demands were not settled at an earliest as the migrants in the camp are facing worst problems due to callousness of the Government at the helm of affairs.

The protestors were demanding restoration of ration supplies for the migrants at an earliest, protection to migrant transit camps in Valley, construction of tube well at Jagti and restoration of water supply, solving of power crisis issue, immediate construction of 40 bedded hospital in the camp, completion of work on Sports Ground, arrangements for sanitation in the camp, setting up of fire station and Post Office in the camp and settlement of KPs at a safe place in Valley.
