JAMMU, Dec 17: Panic gripped the mountainous Doda district this afternoon when tremors were felt in the region due to mild intensity earthquake.
“Mild intensity earthquake was reported at around 2.48 pm in Doda, Bhaderwah and Thathri belts,” official reports said.
They said tremors were felt in the region for few seconds while no damage or loss of life, injury has been reported so far.
However, people ran for shelter and also came out of their houses when the quake hit the hilly belt.
Later, the people returned to their houses as the things settled down.
