JAMMU, Aug 8: BJP national general secretary in charge J&K, Tarun Chugh and party co -in- charge J&K, Ashish Sood today said reopening of cases against terrorists who were responsible for killing of innocent people in Kashmir reiterates Narendra Modi Government’s resolve to provide justice to terrorism victims.
In their separate statements Chugh and Sood said that it has been a long pending demand of the victims’ families that they should be given justice and the militants responsible for these heinous crimes should be brought to book. This will give justice to those Kashmiri Pandit victims in whose cases the Police had even failed to register the FIRs and those responsible for crimes against the humanity were roaming freely. Now they will be dealt under law, he added.

He said these victims of militancy will now be given justice as the victims of 1984 anti Sikh riots in Delhi were given. Those who committed crimes in Kashmir from 1989 to 1994 deserve to be punished, Chugh added.
The reopening of the cases of terrorist victims through a special agency will surely provide justice to these hapless people, said Ashish Sood. He said after militancy erupted in Kashmir in 1989 the selective killings of Kahsmiri Hindus were made and it is irony that Yasin Malik, the JKLF chief who was mastermind of these killings has been given VIPs treatment at PM’s residence during Dr Manmohan Singh’s Government.
Sood said the investigation will also expose those who gave VIP treatment to Malik at PM’s residence.
Sood also took a dig at National Conference (NC) leaders for misleading people on Article 370. Reacting to NC chief, Dr Farooq Abdullah’s statement that they have full faith in the Supreme Court (SC), Sood said every Indian has full faith in constitutional bodies and that is good. “Dr Abdullah is misleading his supporters that the file is still on,” he added.
He said the Kashmir centric politicians who took the advantage of special status for decades together and looted the resources of J&K in the grab of it despite the fact that Article 370 was a temporary provision are now in great desperation and they are trying to mislead the people for their communal vote politics.
He said that approaching court and defend himself is the right of every individual and no one should have problem in it. “But Dr Abdullah wants to safeguard communal vote bank by such statements and the people have realized through the game plan of these dynasties who ruled J&K for over six decades and no one will trust them now”, he added.
Sood said the people who failed to empower the basic institutes of democracy in the erstwhile UT during over six decades are now talking of democracy. “It was Modi Government which held elections for three tire Panchayati Raj system in the J&K to strengthen the grass root democracy in the UT.
Sood regretted that the opposition DDC chairmen in some parts of the UT are still creating hurdles in development process but the people have understood their game plan that the parties they belong to are anti democracy.
