Militant arrested in Udhampur attack identifies truck drivers

JAMMU : Lashkar militant arrested alive in August 5 Udhampur attack case, today identified two truck drivers who transported him to Udhampur from Srinagar.

“Naved was in two-day custody of National Investigation Agency team, which completed today,” official sources here said. They said two truck drivers namely Fayaz Ahmad Ittoo and Fayaz Welder, who shifted Naved from Srinagar to Udhampur on the fateful day, were identified today by Naved at the Joint Interrogation Centre.

“Naved was being interrogated by the NIA team during custody,” they said.

Sources, however, said that two-day NIA remand of Naved ended and he has been shifted to the Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal.
