SRINAGAR, July 15: A private security guard was injured after when militants opened fire near Shaheedi Park in Pulwama today.
Reports said that one Mohammad Rajab Dar son of Ghulam Qadir of Dangerpora, a private security guard of JK Bank was performing his duty near the Shaheedi Park in the town when militants fired at him at around 3:15 p.m.
The security guard received bullet injuries in his leg and was immediately shifted to Sub-district hospital for treatment. He said to be out of danger.
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigations have been taken up
In the meantime, a Hizbul Mujahideen militant, was arrested from central Kashmir’s Budgam district today.
Sources said that Tawheed Ahmad Andrabi son of Javeed Ahmad of Pakherpora who had joined the HM militant outfit in May this year was arrested by police this morning after a specific information.
On June 6, this year, the militant along with other associates had attacked police party at Pakherpora resulting in injuries to a cop. The militants had also managed to decamp with three S L R rifles from the police post guarding the shrine.
