SRINAGAR : Security forces today busted a militant hideout in Kupwara district of Kashmir and found a large cache of arms and ammunition.
“Based on a specific intelligence input about presence of a militant hideout, a joint search operation was today launched by Army and police in Krumhur forest area of Handwara in Kupwara,” a defence spokesman said.
During the search operation, a large cache of arms and ammunition was unearthed.
The recoveries included one Sniper rifle, one magazine, 10 rounds of sniper rifle, one AK-56 rifle, two AK magazines, 61 AK rounds, five UBGL grenades, one Kenwood radio set, one tactical jacket and one rucksack, he added. (AGENCIES)
