KUPWARA: SOG Handwara along with 47rr busted an militant hideout and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from Kralsangar Forest of North Kashmir.
Based on specific input a search teams of Army and JKP Handwara conducted a successful operation in Kralsangar Forest in Kupwara district on 24 Sep 14. During the search operation a large cache of warlike stores which included three AK Rifle, RPG and UBGL rounds, Chinese Grenades and AK ammunition besides IED circuits were recovered.
Besider successfully handling flood relief in Valley and reaching out to people at every nook and corners, Army is vigilant to foil likely attempts of militants to use explosives and weapons to institate unrest in the region.
