SRINAGAR: Security forces today smashed a militant hideout in Kashmir’s Kupwara district and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, a defence spokesman said.
“Army and police busted an old cave-type militant hideout in Kralsanger forest area in Handwara and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition,” he said.
An AK-47 rife, an AK-56, two AK magazines, 22 rounds of AK ammunition, three Chinese hand grenades and three RPG rounds were recovered from the hideout, the spokesman said. (Agencies)
