Militants equal to 5 bns killed so far

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today that more than 5000 foreign militants have been killed in Kashmir since start of the militancy in 1989-90, which was equal to five battalions, which indicated that root cause of violence in Kashmir is cross-border terrorism, which mainly is being encouraged by the neighbouring country, a reference to Pakistan.
In his address to All Party Meeting, Modi said security forces in Kashmir have so far recovered 34,000 AK-47 rifles, 5000 Grenade Launchers, 90 Light Machine Guns (LMGs), 12,000 pistols and revolvers, three anti-tank and four anti-aircraft guns, 350 missile launchers, 63,000 kg RDX and explosive material and one lakh grenades.
“With such a a large quantity of arms and explosives pushed to the Kashmir valley apart from 5000 foreign militants, who have been killed, nobody is going to accept the Pakistan’s lie that it was not involved in terrorism,” the Prime Minister said, adding it clearly indicated Pakistan’s role in the militancy with figures of slain militants and recoveries.
