SRINAGAR Mar 28: Militants fired on the house of a police officer in Sopore township of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district last night.
The police officer was at his residence when the gun men fired several shots on his house at Dangerpora village of Sopore.
A police, 179 CRPF and RR party immediately rushed to the area and hunt was launched. They were searching the area today for the attackers.
Sources said that Inspector Athar Samad was already informed by the local police about the inputs that he may be attacked. “A warning poster was also pasted by the attackers in the morning on the main entrance of his house”, they added.
