Srinagar, Mar 30: A 50-year-old woman was shot dead by militants in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district tonight.
A police officer said that militants shot dead one Hameeda Begum wife of late Ghulam Hassan Dar after they barged into her house tonight.
The woman was critically injured and was rushed to hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead. The woman is survived by two sons and reason for her killing is not known.
Police said they have started investigation into the incident. No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
