SRINAGAR, Oct 9: Militants today snatched a rifle from a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan in South Kashmir township of Tral.
Police said militants fired in air and snatched an Insas rifle from a CRPF man, Lakaswar Das of 185 Battalion, who was on Road Opening Party duty at Main Chowk in Tral town. The gunmen fled from the spot after snatching the rifle.
Police immediately rushed to the spot and search operation has been launched to nab the militants responsible for snatching the rifle.
