Minerva, Anish, Diya, Geeta emerge winners in Declamation Competition

UDHAMPUR, May 6: Army Public School (APS) Dhar Road hosted Northern Command Inter APS’s Declamation Competition both in English and Hindi.
The participating schools were APS Dhar Road, APS Udhampur, APS Akhnoor, APS Rakh Muthi, APS Srinagar and APS Nagrota.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and the venue Principal Ramma Raina and a welcome dance by the students of the school.
The chief guest also addressed the students with her inspiring words laying stress on the importance of such events in providing awareness, improving communication skills, hone oratory skills and building confidence amongst the students.
The students voiced out valuable facts and opinions in English and Hindi on the topics, “Peace, Patience and Practice keys to Success” and “Manavta He Sarvochh Dharam Hai”.
The declamation witnessed a fierce competition with dexterous articulation between participants.
The prominent educationists who were present there to make judgments were the eminent faculties of various schools and colleges of the city.
After a tough and cut throat competition, first position was bagged by Minerva from APS Udhampur and the runner up trophy was clinched by Anish Chaudhary from APS Rakh Muthi in English Declamation. In Hindi Declamation, Diya Sharma from APS Dhar Road clinched the first position and the runner up trophy was bagged by Geeta Bhagat from APS Srinagar.
The chief guest awarded the trophy and the prizes to the winners and boosted their morale by advising them to participate in such type of activities.
Principal of the host school Ramma Raina presented vote of thanks.
