Mini-bus driver among three arrested with illicit liquor

RAMBAN, Dec 14: Police arrested three persons including a mini-bus driver along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, two teams from Police Station Ramban laid nakas at link road Neera and near Shan Palace and arrested two persons along with 27 bottles of illicit liquor.
The arrested persons were identified as Rattan Chand, son of Inder Singh R/o Wanga Rajgarh and Chatter Singh, son of Amar Chand of Teli Majra District Ramban.
Both the accused persons have violated the norms of notification of DM Ramban issued in view of ongoing District Development Council (DDC) election.
A case under FIR Number 186/2020 and 187/2020 under Section 48 (a) Excise Act have been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Police teams led by ASI Baldev Sharma and HC Mohammad Afzal made the arrests under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Rajinder Singh Chib, Additional SP Ramban Rajni Sharma and SSP Ramban Haseeb-ur-Rehman.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Sangaldan during checking on Tatapani road intercepted a mini-bus bearing registration number JK19-4159.
During checking, police team recovered 11 bottles of illicit liquor from the vehicle which its driver was selling among the people to make illegitimate profits.
The driver identified as Sanjeet Singh, son of Amar Singh Rajput, a resident of Dharam, tehsil Gool, District Ramban was arrested on the spot.
A case under FIR Number 84/2020 under Section 48 F Excise Act has been registered at Gool Police Station and investigation started.
