UDHAMPUR, May 22: After a long wait of 20 years, minibus service was started from Upper Gudhar village to Udhampur town via Darsu village.
According to the locals, they had to face many problems in absence of minibus service as there was no means of transport for their children to go to school despite having a road from Upper Guddar to Darsu. The villagers had to travel eight kilometers on one side on foot for transport.
Apart from this, if any local resident became ill, the patient was taken to the main road Darsu on a cot. Even to get ration, they had to go round Domail and carry the ration on their back.
After the local villagers brought the matter into the notice of Ashwani Khajuria and Priti Khajuria, they took up the issue before ARTO Udhampur Jugal Kishore, who initiated the process and minibus service was started in the area.
