RAJOURI, May 2: Laparoscopic Trans-peritonial Pyelolithotomy for a large 40×30 mm kidney stone performed by a team of doctors under the supervision of HoD Surgery, Dr Zakir Hussain at GMC Rajouri.
This advanced surgical procedure was conducted by Dr Mushtaq Chowdhary, Associate Professor of Surgery, along with Dr Gopal Sharma Assistant Professor of Surgery, Anaesthesiologist Dr Sabha Wani and OT & Anesthesia Technicians- Shahid Bhat and Rohit Kumar.
The patient is stable and doing well. The procedure can be performed with proper results and negligible complications in skillful hands. It could be a suitable alternative to PCNL for the treatment of large kidney stones.
