Mining blocks allottees booked for preparing fake receipts, cheating

REASI, Mar 8: Police has booked several allottees of mining blocks in Reasi district for preparing fake receipts and cheating.
The action was taken on the basis of reliable information that mining blocks situated at Arnas and other areas were selling sand and Bajri by giving fake bills to dumper drivers of Mahore area using QR code of bills already paid and using fake receipts for river bed material. Following this, a case FIR number 18/2023 U/S 420/467/468/471 IPC was registered at P/S Mahore.
A team of Police station Mahore, led by PSI Jasbir Singh, established naka at Ganjote in Mahore and started checking of bills from dumpers. During checking of the dumpers bearing registration number JK20B-0453 and JK20-5207, 38 fake bills were found of different names and style of concessionary of block number 11, belonging to Vikesh Kumar, son of Agya Pal, resident of Arnas, Block number 14 belonging to Raman Kumar, son of Krishan Dutt, resident of Arnas and Block number 28 belonging to Sumit Gupta of Chenab river downstream at village Himna. Police seized the fake bills along with dumpers on the spot.
During further investigation, various Police teams under the supervision of Inspr Karnail, SHO Mahore, Inspr Jeet SHO Arnas and Inspr Vijay, SHO Reasi, raided various mining blocks and other places for collection of evidences. A team which raided at mining blocks situated at Kanthan, Arnas, seized incriminating documents including one desktop, two rubber stamps used in issuing fake bills ( seized from Chinkah block No. 14 and 11) and one mobile phone from block No. 28 Himna.
Another police team also raided at Seela Reasi, wherein three laptops and three printers were also seized from private office as an evidence in the instant case.
SSP Reasi Amit Gupta, while sharing the details, conveyed that investigation into the case was going on and whosoever is found involved in commission of crime will not be spared.
