Mining Deptt seizes 3 vehicles at Logate Morh

KATHUA, June 15: A team of officials of Geology and Mining Department seized three vehicles involved in illegal mining here at Logate Morh today.
The seized vehicles included one tipper and two trollies which were found with minor minerals enroute second bridge Gandyal in violation of rules and guidelines of Geology and Mining Department.
After seizing under SRO-105 of 2016, the vehicles were kept in the custody of Police Post till the realization of penalty. DMO Kathua informed that the vehicles were seized during raids which are usually undertaken at different locations of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rahul Panday has already asked the Mining Department to keep high vigilance on the movements of vehicles involved in illegal mining and take stern action.
