JAMMU, Apr 10: Mining mafia attacked police party in Sidhra area and injured a Sub Inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP).
As per police sources, a team led by SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh and assisted by Incharge Police Post Sidhra SI Mohammad Shakeel during checking over illegal mining was attacked by mining mafia near Sidhra. The mining mafia pelted stones on police party, in which SI Mohammad Shakeel was injured. After first aid, the SI was discharged. In stone pelting, a police gypsy was also damaged.
One person was arrested and hunt is going on to nab his associates, who managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 132/2021 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
