JAMMU, Jan 19: A deputation of ministerial staff from various Government health institutions met with Dr Baljeet Pathania, Director Health Services, Jammu his office chamber and discussed various facets and problems faced by the clerical staff with him.
The deputation was led by Sushil Sudan, president, JKMEF, and Mohd Saleem, president, Clerical Association, Health Department, Jammu Province.
The burning demands that were discussed with the director included conduct of DPC at least twice a year or else once in the year, correction of seniority list of Senior Assistants for deputation of Secretariat Training Course, creation of posts of Section Officers and Head Assistants by rationalizing the existing strength by increasing the posts of SOs in the office of Old Chief Medical Officer and new District Hospitals, besides the posts of Head Assistants at New Chief Medical Officer’s office, old District Hospitals and Block Head Quarters level in order to create more promotional avenues and bring down stagnation of the clerical staff.
The other demands were conducting departmental training of Senior Assistants in Health Department for the promotion of Head Assistants, avoiding bypassing of seniority while deputing the Senior Assistants for Secretariat Training Course, deputation of Junior Assistants for undergoing Foundation training course strictly as per seniority set by SSRB, promotion of Junior Assistants to Senior Assistants only on the basis of seniority and preparation of personal files of non-Gazetted employees at par with Gazetted employees.
Prominent among others who were in the deputation were Vinod Kumar Sharma, secretary general, JKMEF, Surinder Bakshi, Sandeep Wadhera, Vishal Sharma and others.
