JAMMU, June 2: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad today met a number of senior Congress leaders including Ministers and legislators during his visit here and discussed with them prevailing political and health scenario in the State.
Mr Azad arrived here this afternoon. He attended the wedding ceremony of former Minister and Congress MLA from Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori tonight.
Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Tourism Minister GA Mir, Minister for Health Shabir Khan and a number of other Ministers, legislators, former legislators and senior Congress leaders and workers called on Mr Azad at the Guest House and discussed with him prevailing political and health scenario in the State.
He would return to New Delhi tomorrow morning.
Senior officers were scheduled to meet Mr Azad tomorrow morning before he leaves for New Delhi.
