UDHAMPUR, May 3: In a tragic incident, a minor boy drowned in a water tank at Jamia Masjid Adarsh Colony Udhampur, here today.
According to the reports, eight-year old Faizan, son of Mohd Rafi, a resident of Batote and at present Adarsh Colony Udhampur, was playing near his house when he suddenly slipped in an open water tank at the Jamia Masjid Adarsh Colony.
Some locals fished him out and took him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Police have registered a case in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
